Three categories: Characters (full-body sprites), Backgrounds (widescreen scenes and environments), and Items/Icons/Props (weapons, potions, gems, chests, furniture and other inventory or environmental objects).

What output sizes are supported?

Accepted Answer

Characters and Items/Icons/Props: 16, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 pixels square (characters default to 128×128, items default to 64×64). Backgrounds: 256×144, 320×180, 480×270, 640×360, 1280×720, 1344×768 and 1920×1080 widescreen (default 1280×720). All outputs are PNGs with crisp nearest-neighbor pixel edges.

Do generated sprites and items have transparent backgrounds?

Yes. Pixler.dev runs automatic background removal on Characters and Items/Icons/Props, so the PNG you download has a fully transparent background and drops straight into your game engine without further editing. Backgrounds are delivered as full-frame images.

What art styles are available?

Accepted Answer

Two styles. Classic — clean and balanced, in the spirit of Stardew Valley, Terraria and Chrono Trigger. Modern — brighter colors, livelier characters and more detail, in the spirit of Sea of Stars, Octopath Traveler and Eastward. You pick the style for each generation.

Can I generate multiple variations at once?

Yes. Each prompt can return between 1 and 6 variations in a single generation, so you can compare options and pick the best result.

Does pixler.dev work with Godot, Unity, and other game engines?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Generated PNGs import directly into Godot, Unity, GameMaker, Phaser, LÖVE, Construct, and any engine that accepts PNG. Set the texture filter to 'nearest' to preserve pixel-perfect edges.
